“Music for Friends” at State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts

State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts

On July 1 at the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts a concert called “Music for Friends” (Masterpieces of World Opera with Dmitri Jurowski) was performed by soloists ensemble of Moscow City Symphony – Russian Philharmonic conducted by Dmitri Jurowski. The program included: arias from operas by R. Leoncavallo, G. Massenet, A. Borodin, U. Giordano, and R. Wagner. Soloists: Lubov Stuchevskaya, soprano; Andrey Borisenko, baritone. This concert started the partnership between the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, “Russian Philharmonic” orchestra, and D. Jurowski. In 2015 a summer festival of classical music is to be held under the auspices of the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts featuring D. Jurowski as music director of the project.
