Day of Slavic Writing and Culture
On May 24 Russian Philharmonic and Dmitri Jurowski took part in the concert celebrating the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture in Kolomna town in the Kolomna Kremlin. For the first time the concert also featured the Big Combined Choir of the Moscow Region made up of 1200 people. It was comprised of participants of children’s and adults’ choirs from 22 municipal units of the Moscow Region, as well as the Ministry Choir of the Moscow Diocese. 25 songs of well-known composers were performed, including V. Solovyov-Sedoi, A. Pakhmutova, I. Dunayevsky, and others.
