Two greatest concertos by Sergey Rachmaninoff will be performed by talented young pianist Vazgen Vartanian. “The audience is carried away to the time when Rubenstein and Hoffmann have created, enjoying the same technical perfection in combination with the same unique creative individuality” (New York/New Jersey News).
Vazgen Vartanian was born in Moscow, graduated from Moscow State Conservatory, gained Master of Fine Arts Degree and was awarded a scholarship at Julliard School (New York, USA). Famous musicians such as Lev Vlasenko, Dmitri Sakharov, and Jerome Lowenthal were his professors.
The pianist gave recitals in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, and other European countries. Moreover, he gave masterclasses and concerts at Taranto (Italy) and Seoul (South Korea), where he had been awarded the First prize and Grand Prix at the Su Ri International Competition. Vazgen Vartanian performed many times at the Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Moscow International House of Music, and other main venues in Russia, as well as famous venues in Europe, Asia, and America, such as Lincoln Center in New York, Tonhalle in Zurich, Milan Conservatory, Seoul Arts Center, etc.
