The Wiener Concert-Verein is a chamber orchestra founded by musicians of of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in 1987. Its repertoire ranges from orchestral works of the Viennese classical composers to contemporary Austrian music. The orchestra toured in Asia and North America and participated in music festivals such as the Wiener Festwochen, the Bregenz Festival, the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, the Dubrovnik Festival, the Mozart Festival Augsburg, etc. The Wiener Concert-Verein cooperated with well-known conductors such as Vladimir Fedosejev, Krzysztof Penderecki, Christian Arming, Leopold Hager, etc. In 2005 the Wiener Concert-Verein’s CD was nominated for the Amadeus Classic Award.

Alfred Eschwe studied at the Music University of Vienna majoring in violin, piano and conducting. He has frequently appeared as guest conductor in Germany (Hamburg State Opera, State Opera “Unter den Linden” in Berlin, Bavarian State Opera in Munich etc.), Italy (Teatro Verdi in Triest, Teatro Massimo in Palermo,Teatro Reggio in Turin, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Teatro Bellini in Catania) as well as Den Norske Opera in Oslo and the New National Opera in Tokio. In 2002, Alfred Eschwé began to conduct regularly at the Vienna State Opera. There the now famous DVD of Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’amore” with Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazon was recorded under Eschwé’s direction. Alfred Eschwé cooperates with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Austrian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Arena di Verona Orchestra, etc. Together with the Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra Alfred Eschwé has presented program of compositions by Strauss dynasty around the world, including Japan, the United States, South Korea, Italy and Spain.

People’s Artist of Russia Yuri Rozum is a prize-winner of the II Queen Sofia International Piano Competition in Madrid (1979), the XXXI Maria Canals International Competition in Barcelona (1980) where he won the 1st Prize and was awarded Gold Medal and special prize for the best performance of Spanish composition, and the International Competition in Montreal (1984). Yuri Rozum tours a lot performing at the most prestigious venues such as the Grand Hall of the Conservatory and the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Teatro Colon in Buenos-Aires, Palau de la Musica in Barcelona, Teatro Real in Madrid, Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo, Orchestra Hall in Chicago. Yuri Rozum performs as a soloist with the best orchestras of the world.
